You guys, I have no explanation for this, but I have been so excited about the Skaist-Taylor label launch for ages—and now it's happened! So the deal is that Pamela Skaist-Levy and Gela Nash-Taylor (a.k.a. the design duo formerly known as The Juicies—yes! They founded Juicy Couture!) sold Juicy to Liz Claiborne years ago and have since gone on to create this totally new boho-rock-chick new label. Check out some of their new looks after the jump.
The Drama: Loving the drama of this floor-length coat with the giant furry collar! The whole collection feels very LA rock chick to me—which makes total sense because Pamela is married to a filmmaker and Gela is married to John Taylor from Duran Duran, so these ladies are super-movers-and-shakers on the LA scene.
The Classic: It's like the '60s and '70s all over again with this print maxi-dress! Such a classic bohemian look, especially paired with that wool felt hat. Also, you know I love a dress with sleeves!
The Modern: Inspired by retro silhouettes, this dress still feels really modern—the black/white flecked print and the curve-skimming silhouette really gives it that extra touch of glamour. That, and wearing a shrunken leather jacket on top—so chic!
It's The Juicies! Okay, okay, they're the ex-Juicies now, but aren't they totally adorbs?
Were you a Juicy Couture fan back in the heyday of the velour tracksuit? Don't be ashamed! I used to be into Juicy too, though I never did succumb to the words-on-the-butt trend... What do you think of Pam and Gela's new look? Are you feeling the Boho thing?
