Brotherly love on V-Day

What does Valentine’s Day mean to you? Raghubir Yadav (RY): The feeling of ‘love’ is undoubtedly the purest emotion a human being can ever feel. And frankly, though I don’t believe that there should be any one particular day in the year to celebrate that beautiful feeling, it’s always great to have an additional reason to do so

What does Valentine’s Day mean to you? Yashpal Sharma (YS): Absolutely, love should be celebrated every day of one’s life, because without it, life doesn’t really have any meaning or purpose. But with everyone being busy in their respective hectic work schedules, one hardly gets time for the same. Valentine’s Day in that way proves to be a great reminder for the love we need to celebrate and appreciate

Most memorable Valentine’s Day: RY: We don’t really do anything special on Valentine’s Day. As I told you, I believe every day should be treated as Valentine’s Day to value and appreciate our loved ones. And I firmly believe that. So we go out for maybe a Dinner and movie, nothing special for Valentine’s Day

Most memorable Valentine’s Day: YS: I have never celebrated Valentine’s Day. I do take my loved ones out for a meal, on a long drive, to watch a movie, etc. to make sure I’m able to spend quality time with all the people I love. But that doesn’t have to be on 14th February. In fact, this is the first time I am celebrating Valentine’s Day

Reason behind celebrating together? RY: Valentine’s Day is the day of love which sadly gets limited only to a boyfriend-girlfriend and husband-ife relationship. Why should it be? I consider Valentine’s Day as an opportunity to just celebrate the essence of love by meeting and spending time with all my loved ones

Reason behind celebrating together? YS: We all tend to forget to the love we have between us and our parents, grandparents, siblings, friends, etc. The unconditional love among such relationships also needs to be celebrated. Today, Raghubirji and me, who play the role of a father and son in our next release Yeh Khula Aasman and are also great friends since many years, have come together to spread this message

Against our culture? RY: I don’t believe Valentine’s Day is against our Indian culture. How can any celebration of love be against any culture in the world?
